From the Coop

This is Mabel .She is a Partridge Rock. She is also very independent. I actually have three of these type hens. They are supposed to be good layers. However I'm not so sure about Mabel. My other hens have been laying like crazy, but not Mabel. She is always off in one of the fields alone hunting for bugs and food. Almost all of the chickens stay in a little pack. Even Spike the guinea and Rex (my Roo)  guarding his hens. I think Mabel is a city hen stuck in the country. Off in the fields dreaming of red lipstick and far off lands. :)
